Understanding the fundamentals of computer programming is as important as reading or simple math skills are for our students. Students learn critical thinking skills, collaboration, communication and problem solving skills while programming. There are also key educational lessons inherent in programming like logic, pattern recognition, and key math skills. These are important lessons in many other subjects, therefore many are included in the curriculum which is aligned with Common Core State Standards.
Students learning computer science through the eKids Hub's K-12 pathway will learn foundational skills in computer science preparing them for the next step in their learning, whether that is taking an additional course or pursuing computer science in college or career.
With our Common Core aligned standards-based K-5 curriculum, students start by learning how to identify code as a language and how to apply algorithms to complete computational tasks. By the end of elementary school, students will be able to read, modify and write scripts to change what happens in programs.
Our curriculum makes it possible to teach programming without any prior experience. It explains key programming concepts, how they work in real programming, lesson ideas, reflection questions, and extra activities. We have many lessons with both on-screen and off-screen components.

At eKids Hub, we believe in inspiring kids to do extraordinary things. We know that tomorrow’s jobs and economy are going to be created by leaders and entrepreneurs we foster today. Not every child will be an entrepreneur when he or she grows up, but we can inspire every child to have an entrepreneurial spirit: to lead confidently, think critically and creatively, be financially responsible, and understand the value of teamwork.
Our curriculum is formulated to discover, create and grow entrepreneurial ideas by encouraging independent thinking, inspiring creativity, and enabling problem-solving skills that are necessary for a successful and fulfilling future. We understand entrepreneurship as something beyond the creation of high-growth business ventures - the skill to turn visions into reality, no matter whether it means starting a new company, becoming an environmental activist or advancing a social cause.
Our high school program is aligned for students to take the
Entrepreneurship and Small Business Certification (ESB).
